Norman Riddell (Norm) Company Manager

 Norm has a wealth of forestry knowledge having commenced in the Industry in 1966 and progressing to senior management level at an early age. In addition to holding senior management positions with the New Zealand Forest Service and New Zealand Timberlands, Norm has during his career strengthened his knowledge by working and gaining qualifications in specialist areas such as Industrial Engineering (Work study) and Forest harvest planning.

Norm has also been instrumental in setting up a successful Forest Consulting and Advisory business and more recently the Log Marketing Business in conjunction with the Owners DT King & Co. Ltd.

Norm is a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry, and works from the Log Marketing offices in Invercargill.

Paul Brown.(Brownie)

Paul commenced his Forestry Career with the New Zealand Forest Service in the early 1980’s specializing in Forest mensuration in both Native and Exotic plantation forests. Paul has highly developed skills in Forest inventory systems particularly MARVL and is a certified log scaler.

Paul is a founding staff  member of Log Marketing New Zealand and has considerable experience in the commercial activities of Log Marketing including the purchase of plantations and woodlots and the sale of logs to a number of customers.

 Paul works from the Log Marketing Invercargill office.

Tim Smith.  

Tim has been in the Industry since leaving school in 1986. He holds a New Zealand Certificate in Forestry (NZCF). Tim has been involved in all aspects of Forest Management and now specialising in Forest Harvesting and Marketing.

Tim works from the Companies Balclutha Office servicing the greater Otago area.

Brian Powell.

Brian Started his career in the Forest Industry in the early nineties working in a Logging crew in the Blue Mountains and later moved on to supervising a Farm Forestry crew in private woodlots and stumpage blocks. He then moved into Forest Management in 2000 as a logging Supervisor for Carter Holt Harvey until they pulled out of Southland/Otago. Following this he was employed with Wrightson Forestry Services based in Balclutha until 2006, when he joined Log Marketing NZ.  Brian has an extensive knowledge of Harvesting operations and OSH requirements in this field. Brain works from the Companies Balclutha office.
